My Visit to Kashi and Varanasi....

It is believed that Kashi is one of the oldest Cities in India.My winter vacations were on and NANI MA's call, and I reached Kashi.Kashi and Varanasi are almost one and the same. I was going there first time after I had went to Singapore.From the Spotless Singapore to the Very Unclean Varanasi,it was a nice transition.I knew that four mnths stay in Spore will bring that old Indian Feeling that "Har Videshi chiz achi hoti hai"...whther its a girl or watch..hehe.So I felt like cursing the city for so dirty surroundings but stopped.Though the city needs improvement in this regard but when u roam around the city one will find a strange beauty about this place.

Yup..All over the city, I saw people who were satisfied and happy.I could see people happy though they might be having just a small Grocery Store.From an Auto driver to a old lady chewing a PAAN,they all seemed so happy with whatever they had.The world might be goin crazy about 3G tech,New LG mobile, Apple Iphones, 2012 and infact the latest AVATAR,but for them they were happy that it was a fresh morning.Weather was chillin and me freezin,but not the spirits of a boy who was hammering coal pieces for making tea in a small tea stall.

The most Amazing thing I found about this place was that not only it is a habitat for Humans but also had a lot for offer for animals.From Street Dogs to Cows,Bulls,Rats and yah who can forget the monkeys who can easily snatch away ur food before you realize.In the past a monkey has even "kidnapped" my small cousin and took him to the neighbor's terrace . This was a Ripley's kinda event for me when I heard.

Roads is too big a word for the roads of the city.Traffic System is no where to be found.People all around like bees.But City Had Contentment which I feel is what was great abt the city.
